Tulsa Man Pleads Guilty After Chasing a Store Clerk while Wielding a Knife

A Tulsa man who chased a store clerk with a knife pleaded guilty in federal court, announced U.S. Attorney Clint Johnson. Jack Charles Welty, 50, pleaded guilty to assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to do bodily harm in Indian Country. According to the plea agreement, Welty will serve 38 months in federal prison for the crime pending approval from a federal judge at the time of sentencing.
