One of the oldest race tracks on the Navajo Nation is holding the Naatsisa’a’n Mountain Top challenge Aug. 12. Entry fee is $80. A starting gate will be utilized and jockey euqipment is required. Location is the Navajo Mountain Field Grounds. More information is available by calling (520)491-9947.
KARMA event on cultural engineering Aug. 26
Join Ke’yah Advanced Rural Manufacturing Alliance Aug. 26 for “Acknowledging Culture in 21st Century Learning”at Northern Arizona University – Du Bois Center from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.. The event, sponsored by Tufts University – Center for Education and KARMA, NAU, LEGO Foundation, offers an exploration of culturally embedded engineering problem-solving and coding, focusing on their future on Navajo/Hopi. Open to teachers, parents, community members and invited guests.

Healing of the Nations Rally
Leupp Presbyterian Church has invited Dzil Na Oodilii pastor Irvinson Jones to the Aug. 2-5 camp meeting 2.5 miles north of Leupp and Old Oraibi Road junction. Ranch Hands Ministry Trail Riders making moves
The annual meeting and trail rides are Sept. 1-4 east of Flagstaff. Horse back riders begin a 200-mile trek in August to Leupp from southern Utah and make stops along the way for rest and Bible devotions. Everyone coverges at a site between mileposts 434 and 4535 on Leupp Road. For inofrmation call (520) 491-0774.
