Iranian Businessman Sentenced to 46 Months in Prison for Violating U.S. Sanctions by Exporting Carbon Fiber from the United States to Iran

The Department of Justice announced that Behzad  Pourghannad was sentenced yesterday to 46 months in prison for participating in a conspiracy to export carbon fiber from the United States to Iran between 2008 and 2013.  Pourghannad pleaded guilty on Aug. 29, 2019, before U.S. Magistrate Judge Paul E. Davison.  U.S. District Judge Vincent L. Briccetti imposed yesterday’s sentence.
