Federal Jury Convicts Ada Resident Of Murder In Indian Country

MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced today that Anthony Brian Walker, age 40, of Ada, Oklahoma was found guilty by a federal jury of one count of Murder in Indian Country, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Sections 1111(a), 1151, and 1153.  The jury trial began on Monday, July 18, 2022 and concluded on Wednesday, July 20.  Based on the jury’s verdict, the Defendant is facing a mandatory minimum sentence of life imprisonment. During the trial, the United States presented evidence that on November 21, 2021, the Defendant intentionally killed Jason “Bubba” Edward Hubbard, Jr. by stabbing him in the heart while Mr. Hubbard was sitting in a vehicle in the drive-thru of the Karry Out Korner in Ada, Oklahoma.
